Birchwood: New-Build Home in the Borough of Bromley
Ryan & Sons Construction demolished an existing house in the borough of Bromley and built a new four-bedroom home in its place. The Birchwood project combined a complete new build with a cinema room, gym and smartphone-controlled smart-home system, alongside driveway works and landscaping.
The finished property includes four bedrooms, three bathrooms and two kitchens, with underfloor heating installed on both floors.
Demolition and new-house construction
The project began with demolition of the existing property, clearing the way for the new house. Building a replacement home allowed the accommodation, heating and smart-home technology to be incorporated into the new construction rather than fitted around an existing layout.
Four bedrooms, three bathrooms and two kitchens
The completed home provides four bedrooms, three bathrooms and two kitchens. Alongside the main accommodation, dedicated cinema and gym rooms give the owners space for entertainment and exercise at home.
Underfloor heating on both floors
We installed underfloor heating across both floors as part of the new build. Including it during construction allowed the heating installation to be planned alongside the rest of the building work.
Smart-home technology
The house features a smart-home system that can be controlled from a smartphone, giving the owners convenient access to the connected systems through their phone.
Driveway and landscaping
The project extended beyond the house itself, with driveway works and landscaping completing the external areas around the new home.
