Ryan & Sons Construction completed a kitchen extension at Melbourne Grove in Dulwich, South London, transforming an outdated kitchen into a bright, open-plan space with bespoke cabinetry and improved storage.
The project brought the kitchen and adjoining living area together, creating a more connected layout for everyday use. Large windows and skylights introduced natural light, while the design considered the homeowner’s needs and the character of the existing property.
Open-plan kitchen and living space
As part of the works, we removed the wall between the kitchen and living area to create an open-plan layout. This opened up the space and improved the connection between the two rooms, making the kitchen a central part of the home rather than a separate, enclosed area.
Large windows and skylights
The extension incorporated large windows and skylights to bring daylight into the kitchen. These features helped create a lighter, more open feel throughout the new space.
Bespoke kitchen cabinetry
We designed and installed bespoke cabinetry to make effective use of the available space. The layout provided practical storage alongside a clean, coordinated finish, tailored to the homeowner’s preferences.
